The Maestro Sacconi
in the testimony of the violinist
Alexander Schneider

 New York, January 26, 1984

Mr. Simone Fernando Sacconi I met trough Emil Herrmann the man who brought Sacconi to New York. Fernando and myself became at once great friends which lasted for many years till Rembert Wurlitzer died; with him he was in charge of all the youngsters learning how to build and repair instruments.

We ate and drank good wine always and beside being a fabulous violin maker and connaisseur he was a wonderful human being. I brought him also to Pablo Casals for one festival in Puerto Rico.

We shall all never forget him our dear friend Fernando.
